Getting Started on Nexa Wiki

Welcome to Meta — the central support wiki for all NexaWiki projects! This guide will help you learn the basics of editing, creating pages, and managing your own wiki.

1. Creating an account

Before you can edit most wikis on Nexa Wiki:

• Go to Create an account.
• Confirm your email so you can recover your password later.
• After logging in, customize your Preferences and user page.

2. Joining or starting a wiki

Join an existing wiki

Find your community’s wiki (for example: `the-mage-next-door.nexawiki.com`) and log in with your account. Each wiki has its own admins and rules — check the “Community” or “About” page there.

3. Editing basics

• Click the **Edit** or **Edit source** tab at the top of any page.
• Use simple wiki markup:

 * `bold` → **bold**
 * `italic` → *italic*
 * `Page name` → link to another page
 * `== Heading ==` → section heading

• Use the Style Guide for formatting tips.

4. Uploading files

• Go to Special:Upload to add images or files.
• Always use descriptive filenames.
• Add a summary and licensing info (for example: “CC BY-SA 4.0”).
